I taste the fire
Of a thousand suns
Devouring each one whole
Filled with flames
That scorch my heart
I tell myself that I am stronger
Perhaps I will cause the world
To go dark
Have each one fall
Into the darkness
Into the black that was my heart
For now what beats in my chest
Is light
Ignited with flames
That dance merrily
Fueling my life
I am bright
Like the phoenix from the ashes
Flying towards the light
