I stand here holding my sign, begging you to see me.

The passersby hardly notice the words written and feelings behind it; they just walk on by.

I only pray you do not follow suite and leave me standing here.

From across the street you can see the words are for you; that much I am sure of.

What will you do: take the chance, come running over or leave me here to stand and suffer?

The trepidation in my heart causes me to shake, causes me to worry.

If I am to stand here and await your reaction, does that mean I am a fool?

If it does, then a fool I will be, there is no greater sacrifice for you.
Something I found myself writing down. I dunno, I think I've watched "Love, Actually" too many times. Not necessarily a bad thing!
